⁠⁠⁠Transport for NSW – Traffic & Transport Advisory Services.

NWRL requires two full-time key persons to be responsible for providing traffic and transport analyses to the Principal in respect of the project including:

* The development and testing of solutions to key traffic and transport issues generated from construction staging of TSC/SVC/OTS activities, temporary closure of ECRL and any changes initiated by other stakeholders (RMS, property developers, councils etc.).
* The development and testing of solutions which resolve issues and/or optimise end state multi modal operations and infrastructure (e.g.: road network for NWRL station precincts) which support multi modal access as well as safeguarding for future changes.
* Ad-hoc traffic and transport analyses for the Sydney Rapid Transit (SRT) project as required.

The two individuals will be required to work closely together and will provide complementary roles to each other with respect to providing traffic and transport analyses. The specific roles comprise:

Road Designer

Develop solutions (including options) in accordance with the relevant standards / Austroads and other guidelines in response to changes to station access / station interchange / road network conditions with consideration of:

* All road based transport modes and associated access hierarchy including pedestrians, cyclists, buses, taxis, kiss’n’ride and private vehicles.
* Safety requirements and wider customer centric project outcomes.

Varying and often competing priorities from different stakeholders.

Develop concept design drawings of road network, public transport interchange elements and the like as well as other options (including vehicle swept paths) using CAD based (and other) software in accordance with relevant standards/Austroads and other guidelines.

Undertake road safety audits and/or reviews as required.

Traffic & Transport Modelling Analyst

Undertake in-house traffic and transport modelling using NWRL supplied traffic modelling software (including microsimulation) such as EMME, SIDRA  Linsig, and others to test the proposed solutions (including options).

Interpret and report on the analysis and traffic modelling results.  Make recommendations based on the analysis and results.
