Provision of CCTV Survey of Stormwater Drains

⁠⁠⁠The City of Hume is located within Melbourne’s north western metropolitan region and has a variety of area usages including light industrial, housing and rural. The municipality has seen rapid growth during the last 20 years.

Soils are typically highly reactive basaltic clays with the presence of some rock.

Council’s drainage assets are currently estimated to include approximately 1,451 km of underground pipes and 51,465 drainage pits.

1.2  OBJECTIVES

Council is seeking to incrementally significantly improve its knowledge of the local stormwater drainage network by increasing its knowledge of the condition of the drainage infrastructure. Council will be continuing this inspection and assessment program over future financial years in order to prepare proactive programs to actively manage the network.
