Tender Description
The City of Newcastle seeks to appoint external members to its Audit Committee. This is an advisory committee to Council, providing independent assurance and assistance to Council in the areas of internal audit, risk, control, compliance and financial reporting.
The Audit Committee consists of three external members (one of whom is the chairperson) and two Councillors. The Committee meets at least four times per year.
Formal qualifications and/or extensive senior experience should be in areas including financial management, auditing, risk management, regulatory compliance, local government and law.
