At the time of issuing the Tender Documents, the Works include the following:
This project includes the construction of three storage facilities for explosive goods, comprising heavily reinforced concrete walls and roof back covered with earth and fitted with large motorised steel doors, all in compliance with a certified design to be provided in the Tender documentation.
The project entails two sites, being located at HMAS Stirling WA and Twofold Bay NSW. The Tenderer is invited to submit a tender for the works at either one or both sites. Tenderers will be expected to demonstrate, in their response, relevant experience in the construction and certification of explosive ordnance facilities.
Tenders should note that the successful Contractor will be required to certify to the satisfaction of the licensing authority each storage facility to the requirements of eDEOP 101.
Tenderers should note that the successful Contractor may also be extended an opportunity to provide an identical additional explosive storage facility at HMAS Stirling for the AIR7000 Phase 2A / 2 B Project.
