Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) inviting suitable organisations to submit tenders for Refurbishment of Harbour Cleaning Vessel ‘ES-5’ to Roads & Maritime Services NSW.

The contract involves;

A.Major modifications to vessel:

A1. Replace hull plating below waterline and as per surveyor approved drawings, notes / images and memo;
A2. Replace deck plating as per surveyor approved drawings, notes / images and memo;

B. Minor modifications to vessel:

B1. Relocate wheelhouse aft (move to rear edge of maximum measured length) (see image marked #A) ;
B2. Remove aft (the athwartships) port & starboard gunwales;
B3. Modify wheelhouse forward window upright frames (narrow) to provide better visibility;
B4. Install hand-washing facility and water tank external on wheelhouse ;
B5. Extend foldout section of bow-ramp by 500mm;
B6. Manufacture/install bench-style seat along wheelhouse aft bulkhead, with under-seat storage.
B7. Install (removable) access platform over aft pod section of vessel.
B8. Modification to Port forward locker (see image marked #B)
B9. Design, manufacture, replace & positioning of fuel tank (identical to ES-6, - image marked #C).

Materials :

(a) Hull and deck plating and welding schedule must be in compliance with AS4132 (Ref Surveyor’s memo dated 13.1.2015 File 22471 (folio 8334);
(b) All Deck and hull plating MUST be Lloyds Certified (Certificate MUST be provided).

Organisations seeking to submit a Tender must:

* Demonstrated aluminium boat building experience (aluminium structures);
* Demonstrated capacity to deliver quality workmanship and compliance with relevant Australian Standards for aluminium boat building;
* Demonstrated capacity to meet production / delivery deadlines;
* Demonstrated capacity to comply with relevant vessel survey directives;
* Demonstrated financial capacity / soundness to undertake the work;
* Demonstrate capability in delivery of project of similar value; and
* Attend mandatory inspection of vessel/proposed works before RFT response is submitted.
