Tender for Financial Auditing Services for the Financial Years 2014/2015 to 2019/2020

⁠⁠⁠The Wentworth Shire Council is located in South West New South Wales and forms part of the Sunraysia region spanning the Victorian border.

Council is inviting tenders from suitably qualified persons or firms for the provision of financial audit services for the six years including 2014/2015 financial year to 2019/2020 financial year.

The auditor reports to the elected Council on the General Purpose and Special Purpose Financial Reports of the Council prepared annually in accordance with the requirements of the NSW Local Government Act.

The auditor is also required to report to the Council on various matters prescribed by the Local Government Code of Accounting Practice and Financial Reporting.

In addition to the above, the services to be provided will include evaluation of internal accounting procedures and controls and interpretation of relevant new or revised accounting standards or legislation.
