Locksmith Services

⁠⁠⁠Moreland City Council is seeking Tenders from suitably qualified providers of locksmith services to provide key cutting, lock servicing and replacement, and management of keys and profiles in a managed system.

Moreland City Council has approximately 2000 Profile BL114 locks. Of these 250 are quick change core. Currently 4000 keys are issued over 10 categories (or sub-masters) and 64 master keys exist. Additionally MCC has a range of non-standard keys for furniture and various padlocks (qty estimated at 2000) which are not centrally managed.

Whilst profile BL114 provides an increased level of security, Council also finds this restrictive in that only one supplier can access this profile. Tenderers are to propose solutions acceptable to industry including options to progressively change locks to public profiles, an estimated cost to do a complete once-off change, or other accepted practices to migrate to public profile locks.
