Tender Description
In line with its corporate objectives to be efficient and sustainable and to reduce its dependence on fossil fuel-based energy consumption, Palerang Council wishes to investigate the suitability of installing alternative power generating infrastructure at a number of its larger energy consuming facilities.
While it expects that Solar Photovoltaic installations will be viable at many of the sites, the EOI is open to consideration of alternatives including wind generation and geothermal installations. Eight sites are to be investigated with each already connected to the state power grid. The alternative energy generation will supplement this supply.
The objective of the project is to investigate the economic viability and environmental benefits of the installation of alternative clean energy generating infrastructure at the nominated Council sites.
