Tenders are invited for the provision of Archaeological Services to support Hunter Water's Infrastructure Delivery team. Ensuring that their work, fully complies with the requirements of the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1979, the subordinate regulations, due diligence guidelines and other policies, practices and guidelines administered by OEH.
The consulting archaeologist is to be based at Hunter Waters head office located at 36 Honeysuckle Drive Newcastle NSW.
The consultant must be available to work with the team, 24 hours per week, typically 8 hours per day, during normal business hours, Monday to Friday.
The consultant must as a minimum have the following skills and experience:
* The consultant is to hold the minimum qualifications necessary to meet the ACA-OEH guidelines for archaeological service providers (Bachelor of Archaeology or equivalent with Honours)
* The consultant is to have a minimum of 5 years-experience working with Aboriginal Cultural Heritage matters.
* The Consultant is to have an understanding of the local Hunter area.
* The Consultant must be able to demonstrate experience working effectively with stakeholder groups.
* The Consultant must have experience working with large civil infrastructure projects within the water, electricity or roads sectors.
* Car driver's licence
The engagement is for a 2 year period, commencing 1st May 2015.
