Tender Details
Tender Description
The Department of Education and Early Childhood Development (DEECD) assists Victorian government schools to gain an understanding of students’ perceptions and their experience of school by collecting student opinion data from government schools on a consistent basis. The data also informs student engagement at the state level to support ongoing improvement in the school system.
The annual Attitudes to School Survey has been administered in Victorian government schools since 2003. All government schools with Year 5 to 12 students are invited to participate in the survey and over 90% of primary and secondary schools choose to participate annually. In 2014, over 260,000 students participated in the survey.
The survey is distributed in hardcopy format. There is only one survey questionnaire for both primary and secondary students. The survey questionnaire consists of 52 questions.
Schools can elect not to participate in the survey. The potential maximum number of participating schools and campuses is approximately 1,640 and the potential maximum number of students is 322,000.
The Department of Education and Early Childhood Development (DEECD) is seeking reponses to this Invitation to Supply to administer the survey in 2015, with an extension option for 2016 at the sole discretion of the Department.
