Tender Description
The Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP) is responsible for delivering programmes and services that encourage compliance with Australia’s migration and citizenship laws, including immigration detention and removal services.
This Pre-Release Notice (PRN) is to advise industry of DIBP’s intention to undertake a procurement process for immigration detention services relating to the onshore immigration detention network (including Christmas Island).The proposed Request for Tender (RFT) is expected to be released in March 2014 and will encompass a range of immigration detention services at a national level including medical and health services, garrison, facilities management, security, escort and removal services and detainee welfare and engagement services.
These service categories, and the services described within them, are intended as a high-level outline of what DIBP wishes to procure. It is not intended as an exhaustive list, and DIBP reserves the right to add, remove or amend any similar services from the procurement process.
A key objective of the approach to market will be to enter into contractual arrangements with service providers who demonstrate strong performance in service delivery models, innovation, adaptability, scalability and can deliver efficiency and value for money in the provision of these services.
Accordingly, DIBP invites potential suppliers to provide submissions in relation to possible service delivery models to inform the service design of the Onshore Immigration Detention Services procurement.
