High Priority Asbestos Removal Zone 2

⁠⁠⁠Council is seeking expressions of interest in quoting on asbestos removal and replacement throughout the shire.

Workmanship (including OH&S) must comply with current Australian Standards for items involving electrical or plumbing, a qualified tradesperson with completion certificates will be required as proof of qualified trades being involved.

An asbestos clearance certificate is required for each separate location outlining the items that were removed as there will be low level priority items left for next financial year in some cases.

Contractor will be held to a 12 month defects liability period where poor workmanship can be proven to be the problem at no additional costs to Council.

All asbestos on the attached lists (not complete audit) must be removed and replaced before June 30, 2014.

Contractor to dispose of all waste in a legal manner and must make provisions for this in their quotation.

3 weeks notice, prior to any works being undertaken, must be given to Council in writing. Any breach of this will be a termination of project.

Quotes are to be itemised so to keep each building separate. We do not expect an itemised quote on each item, just location.
