Tender Description
Please note that the information provided here is for general information purposes only. It represents a summary of Defence's current intentions. It should not be relied upon for any purpose. Defence's requirement may change.
The purpose of this Notice is to provide advance notice on the Commonwealth’s future Deployable Catering Capability requirements.
Air Force Minor Project (the Project) seeks to provide the Royal Australian Air Force with the capability and capacity to provide meals to deployed personnel in austere environments. This capability will be used to support military operations, Defence Assistance to the Civil Community and Defence Force Aid to the Civil Authority activities.
The Project seeks to provide up to three deployable kitchens, each capable of supporting up to 500 deployed personnel for a period of up to six months. The Commonwealth also requires the two in-flight kitchens capable of producing at least 120 meals per day for aircrew, passengers, hospital patients and those personnel with specific cultural and/or religious dietary requirements.
The attached Function and Performance Specification provides additional detail on the required capability. It should be noted that integrated logistics support documentation will be required to accompany the equipment.
It is expected that there will be minimal technical servicing required for this equipment, with basic operator maintenance tasks to be limited largely to basic servicing, minor inspections and authorised operator repair tasks as detailed in the User Handbook.
It should be emphasised that this advice is for information only, and no response is requested or required. This notice, and the enclosed specification, constitutes neither a Request for Quote or Request for Tender, will not result in a procurement decision nor does it commit the Commonwealth to an ultimate acquisition.
