The Commonwealth currently expects to release an open Request for Tender (RFT) via AusTender for the provision of LHD Landing Craft (LLC) In-Service Support (ISSC) in early January 2014 (ie from 2 January).
Since the release of the Invitation to Register (DMOADAS/ITR0111/2013) (the ITR), the Commonwealth has decided that the LLC ISSC will be required to hold and exercise an engineering delegation from the Commonwealth Authorised Engineering Organisation in accordance with ABR 6492 Vol 2 Sec 5.
As this change to the engineering requirements is a substantial change in scope from the ITR, probity advice recommended cancelling the current process and proceeding to an open RFT to ensure integrity of the procurement.
The Commonwealth has cancelled the previous LLC ISSC procurement process in accordance with the ITR Conditions of Registration (clauses 1.5 and 1.6).
