Main Contractor - ROI - Concrete Retaining Wall Replacement at Pakuranga College

The Ministry of Education (NZ) is seeking registrations of interest from main contractors for the replacement of the concrete retaining wall at Pakuranga College.

About

The existing crib retaining wall at Pakuranga College was constructed in the 1970s and has since experienced partial failures, displacement, rotation, loss of retained material, voiding and cracking.

Purpose

The outcome sought is a permanent retaining solution that replaces the failed crib wall, supports the retained bank, and manages construction risks to adjacent school buildings and occupants.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Full replacement of the existing approximately 90 metre crib retaining wall at Pakuranga College
• Construction of a reinforced-concrete soldier-pile retaining wall behind the existing crib wall
