Overview
The Ministry of Education (NZ) is seeking Registrations of Interest from main contractors for two separate 10 Year Property Plan (10YPP) projects at Te Kura o Te Kao, the second most northern school in New Zealand, with potential for additional rights.
Scope
The scope includes:
- Project 1 (251415): Replacement of the uneven and cracked concrete outside Block 1, which presents trip hazards
- Project 1 (251415): Upgrade of the external fire exit door, landing, and steps at the rear of Block 1, which are no longer fit for purpose
- Project 2 (251417): Demolition of the existing pool/pump shed
- Project 2 (251417): Construction of a new facility incorporating a pump shed and changing rooms, providing a safe, compliant, and fit-for-purpose facility
Purpose
These projects have been identified to address health and safety risks and improve the functionality of existing school facilities at Te Kura o Te Kao.
