Overview

Transport for NSW is seeking the supply and delivery of truck-mounted Elevated Work Platforms (EWPs), including High-rail EWPs, for maintenance and inspection activities across the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Purpose

The project aims to procure specialised truck-mounted Elevated Work Platforms (EWPs), including Hi-rail EWPs, to support inspection, maintenance and asset management activities at the Sydney Harbour Bridge Precinct. The procurement will enhance safety, improve operational efficiency, reduce reliance on scaffolding, and provide Transport for NSW with a flexible and cost-effective access solution for maintaining critical bridge and rail infrastructure.

  • Supply of one truck-mounted EWP capable of accessing the Sydney Harbour Bridge arch, underdeck areas, and other elevated locations within the precinct
  • Minimum working height of 80 metres, minimum outreach of 30 metres, and minimum basket payload of 500 kg
  • Equipment must operate within the structural loading limitations of the Sydney Harbour Bridge deck, including specified outrigger footprint and reaction load requirements
  • A double-articulated boom configuration is preferred to facilitate access to underdeck and restricted areas

Package B: 4 x Hi-Rail Truck-Mounted Elevated Work Platforms

  • Supply of four Hi-Rail truck-mounted EWPs, comprising two units with a minimum vertical reach of 15 metres and two units with a minimum vertical reach of 20 metres
  • EWPs must be capable of operating on both road and rail networks and be compatible with Sydney Trains infrastructure and track gauge requirements
  • Each unit must feature a double articulated boom lift, minimum basket capacity of 300 kg, and automatic transmission and operation
