Tender Description
Overview
This is a Physical Works contract for rockfall mitigation, drainage improvements, and slope stabilisation treatments at a site along SH5 between Cromwell and Kingston.
Scope
The Contract Works comprise:
- Vegetation clearance and access preparation
- Slope scaling and removal of loose material
- Installation of mesh drapery systems
- Rock bolting and anchoring
- Slope stabilisation works
- Slip remediation works
- Slope regrading
- Pavement and surfacing
- Demolition of existing gabion baskets and construction of new geogrid reinforced gabion walls
- Drainage works including culverts, counterfort drainage systems, inclined drains and subsoil drains
- Markings and signage
- Road safety barriers
- Landscaping
Eligibility
Only tenderers pre-qualified to the following levels under the terms of the Transport Agency's Prequalification System are eligible to submit a tender:
- 'Bridge & Structure Construction' - Level C (3C)
- 'Construction' - Level C (4C)
- 'Geotechnical Services' - Level C (5C)

Electronic copies of the RFT documentation are attached to this advertisement.
All tenderers' queries are to be submitted through the GETS Questions and Answers facility. All responses to tender queries and clarifications will be answered by Notice to Tenderer, which will be available in the GETS addenda.
Tender submissions will only be accepted electronically via the GETS eTender Box, and must be uploaded in two separate files. The GETS file upload limit is 50MB. The files should be labelled:
- Contract Number - File No 1 - Supplier Company Name - Proposal excluding Price
- Contract Number - File No 2 - Supplier Company Name - Price (PDF format plus Excel spreadsheet Schedule of Prices)
