2 Senior Actuaries

The National Disability Insurance Agency is seeking 2 Senior Actuaries (APS6 Actuary) on a labour hire basis.

The Role

The APS6 Actuary is a team leadership position within the NDIA and will have delegated authority and responsibility to resolve issues and risks across a range of activities. The role provides leadership, control, planning, resource management, performance management and decision making for the team membership within the position's assigned work area.

The role has reasonable autonomy and accountability to exercise both initiative and judgment to interpret legislation and policy, in the application of practices and procedures to achieve outcomes within the functions.

The APS6 Actuary will provide detailed technical, professional, policy, operational support and advice in relation to complex problems. It may be required to coordinate and assist in the strategic planning, program and project management and policy development that support the NDIA's objectives to "build a world leading National Disability Insurance Scheme".

The role will have a considerable level of public contact in relation to complex, difficult or sensitive issues, and may liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders in a representational role on behalf of the branch, division, or NDIA.

Role Requirements

• As part of the eligibility and suitability requirement, NDIA seeks Labour Hire Workers who are Australian citizens only
• Successful candidates will be required to furnish valid evidence of citizenship during the Pre-engagement Check
• Labour hire licences are required in the state that specified personnel are being contracted, applicable for ACT, VIC and QLD

The proposed rate should reflect the candidate's skills and experience against the Evaluation Criteria. Candidates that do not demonstrate these criteria will not be assessed. Candidates should be aware that rates may be negotiated further as part of the selection process.
