Overview
Penrith City Council is seeking a contractor to deliver a comprehensive mobile library application for the Penrith City Library, available on both iOS and Android platforms.
Scope
The scope includes:
- Delivery of user account access, catalogue search across physical and digital collections, real-time item availability and location, and item renewals synced with the Library Management System (LMS)
- Seamless integration with the LMS and RFID systems, with LMS-agnostic functionality
- Connection to existing digital platforms, including Libby, BorrowBox, Freegal, Beamafilm, StoryBox, and Humanitix, and support for future integrations
- Ability to download and access eBooks and eAudiobooks directly within the app
- An intuitive, user-friendly design that meets accessibility standards, such as WCAG
- Support for in-library borrowing via mobile devices
- A staff-facing content management system (CMS) for content management
- Flexible branding and content customisation
- Event booking and ticketing functionality
- Integration with Council website content
- Analytics and reporting tools
- Provision of 24/7 technical support
