Collect and Supply Termites to Help Save WA's Numbats

⁠⁠⁠Overview

The Zoological Parks Authority (Perth Zoo) requires a Contractor to collect and supply live termites to support Perth Zoo's Numbat Breeding Program.

Purpose

This service plays a vital role in wildlife conservation by contributing to the survival of the Numbat, one of Australia's iconic marsupials that requires ongoing conservation management. A reliable supply of live termites is critical to the care, health, management and successful breeding of numbats.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Collection of live termites
• Supply of live termites to Perth Zoo to support the Numbat Breeding Program

Contractor Requirements

• Termites supplied must be fit for animal consumption
• Termites supplied must be suitable for feeding Australian numbats and other species as required by Perth Zoo
