Tender Description
Overview
The Shire of Wiluna is seeking a contractor to provide Road Maintenance Grading Services for the maintenance grading of unsealed roads and unsealed shoulders of sealed roads within the Shire.
Scope
The scope includes:
- Routine Maintenance Grading: maintaining and improving the running surface
- Periodic Maintenance Grading: repairing surface and renewing shoulders, table drains and diversion drains
- Specific Maintenance Grading: periodic maintenance scope works as agreed with the Principal
- "Opening-up" grading works following adverse weather events
Major connector roads may typically receive a full grade including drainage and surface works once or twice a year, while some access roads may only be graded every 3 to 5 years, depending on changing volumes of traffic, flood, or haulage damage.
