The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) is seeking 1 x EL2 Director, Data Services. This is a senior leadership position responsible for the strategic direction, operational management, and continuous evolution of the Agency's enterprise data services and platforms.

About

The role provides leadership across data engineering, data architecture, data modelling, operational platform support, and reporting services. It is accountable for ensuring enterprise data platforms meet operational requirements while supporting future business needs through platform modernisation, capability uplift, and continuous improvement.

The Director works collaboratively with senior business stakeholders, technology teams, delivery partners, and executive leadership to ensure data services are aligned with organisational priorities and support evidence-based decision-making across the Agency.

The Role

Key duties and responsibilities include:

• Lead and manage high-performing multidisciplinary teams responsible for data engineering, data architecture, data modelling, and operational data services
• Provide strategic direction and governance for enterprise data platforms, services, standards, and delivery practices
• Ensure operational stability, availability, and performance across Legacy EDW, SAS, CRMA, Data Lake, Snowflake, Talend, and reporting platforms
• Oversee enterprise data architecture, data modelling frameworks, and engineering standards to support scalable and sustainable data services
• Lead the delivery of enterprise data services, including operational support, data integration, data quality management, and reporting capabilities
• Establish and maintain frameworks for data quality, reconciliation, referential integrity, and platform governance
• Drive Agile and DevOps ways of working across the team, promoting automation, efficiency, and continuous improvement
• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to deliver strategic data initiatives and operational outcomes
• Manage platform risks, dependencies, and priorities to ensure reliable service delivery and alignment to Agency objectives
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement across data platforms, reporting capabilities, and operational processes

Eligibility

• As part of the eligibility and suitability requirement, NDIA seeks Labour Hire Workers who are Australian citizens only
• Successful candidates will be required to furnish valid evidence of citizenship during the Pre-engagement Check
• Labour hire licences are required in the state that specified personnel are being contracted, applicable for ACT, VIC and QLD

The proposed rate should reflect the candidate's skills and experience against the Evaluation Criteria. Candidates that do not demonstrate these criteria will not be assessed. Candidates should be aware that rates may be negotiated further as part of the selection process.
