Walcha Sewer Manhole Remediation

Walcha Council is seeking to engage a qualified contractor to complete sewer manhole remediation works within the Walcha sewer network.

About

In 2023, Walcha Council undertook investigation works, including maintenance hole inspections and smoke testing, to identify sources of infiltration and inflow (I&I) within the Walcha sewer network. Walcha Council has since identified priority manhole remediation locations arising from that investigation.

Scope

The scope generally includes:

• Remediation of defective maintenance holes identified in the FITT inspection program
• Remediation of Council-owned defects identified through the smoke testing program
• Validation of asset condition and ownership
• Minor excavation, repair and reinstatement works associated with the above
• Documentation and reporting to support Council's asset management system

Contract Terms and Conditions

• These works are to be completed prior to the end of the 2026-2027 financial year
