Tender Description
Overview
Queenstown-Lakes District Council (QLDC) has funding to improve signage for active travel routes around the Upper Clutha. QLDC is seeking proposals from experienced consultants to investigate and design wayfinding signage for the area.
About
Current signage for active travel routes in the Upper Clutha is ad hoc. Similar wayfinding work has already been completed in Queenstown, and this previously completed work will form the foundation for the design work in the Upper Clutha part of the district.
Purpose
The goal is to establish a consistent signage approach as the active travel network grows throughout the district, improving usability and accessibility of wayfinding signage.
Scope
The scope includes:
- Investigation of wayfinding signage requirements for active travel routes in the Upper Clutha
- Design of wayfinding signage that improves usability and accessibility
Physical works of sign installation will be completed under a separate tender of works.
Contractor Requirements
- Experienced consultants in wayfinding signage investigation and design
