Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠Overview

The Ministry of Education (NZ) is seeking a main contractor to carry out fire alarm upgrade works and associated works at Kaeo School.

Scope

The scope includes:

  • Replacing the existing type 2 fire alarm system with a type 4 fire alarm system
  • Providing emergency lighting
  • Undertaking accessibility construction works

Contractor Requirements

  • This RFT is for a main contractor only; tenders for separate portions of the works will not be considered in any instance

Contract Terms and Conditions

  • The Contract Works will be delivered in one stage, wholly within the school holiday period of the December 2026/January 2027 Christmas holidays
  • An option exists to finish off works in the 2027 term 1 holidays if required
  • Additional rights for other projects of a lower value are included in this tender
