Overview
BHP Olympic Dam Corporation Pty Ltd (SA) is inviting registrations of interest for the provision of bulk earthworks services to support the Copper SA Smelter & Refinery Expansion (SRE) Project and associated infrastructure development works.
Scope
At the time of publishing this invitation to register an interest, the scope will include the following. This may include:
- Identification, excavation, transport and disposal of contaminated materials
- Bulk cut-to-fill earthworks, excavation, embankment construction and compaction activities
- Ground improvement, subgrade preparation and soil stabilisation works
- Haulage operations associated with the movement, importation and disposal of earthworks materials
- Temporary drainage, dewatering, erosion and sediment control measures
- Survey, set-out, conformance testing, quality control and as-built documentation
While the initial package focus is bulk earthworks, respondents should note that the scope is expected to develop into a larger civil works package as design maturity increases. Future works may include road construction, drainage infrastructure, underground services installation, utility corridors, pavement construction and associated civil infrastructure works.
