Tender Description
Overview
Far North District Council is seeking a main civil contractor to upgrade the Kawakawa Water Treatment Plant.
Purpose
The upgrade will strengthen the resilience of the water supply and support planned housing growth.
Scope
The scope includes:
- Construction of a new treated water reservoir
- Associated civil works
- Associated mechanical works
- Associated electrical works
- Associated control works
- Carrying out the works on a live operational site without interrupting supply
- Engaging Council's nominated tank subcontractor under NZS 3910
- Managing the tank subcontract and other project interfaces
Contractor Requirements
- Ability to deliver the works on time, to specification and within budget
- Ability to hold single point responsibility for the whole package as head contractor
