⁠⁠⁠Overview

The Ministry of Education (NZ) is seeking a fire and security services contractor to undertake fire alarm remediation works at Fairfield School.

About

The buildings at Fairfield School currently have an array of systems from the original Type 1 bell installation, some Type 2 coverage, and small areas of the school with a Type 4 system.

Scope

The scope includes:

  • Installation of a new and comprehensive Type 4 fire alarm system
  • Installation of a new main indicator panel
  • Installation of compliant exterior sounder coverage
  • Installation of a lock down facility
  • Installation of a direct fire service connection
  • Isolation, disconnection, and removal of the existing security system's smoke detectors
  • Reversion of the monitored security system to intruder detection only
