Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠Overview

Lithgow City Council is seeking proposals from suitable consultants to design and construct a solution to a roadside landslip on Wolgan Road, within the Wolgan Valley.

About

The section of road affected is positioned adjacent to the Wolgan River. In 2022, following a heavy rain event, the river rose significantly and scoured the side of the bank away, leading to the landslip, affecting the roadway above.

Access to the site is currently restricted due to a larger landslip that has led to construction of a temporary access road known as the 'Donkey Steps'.

Scope

The scope includes:

  • Design of a solution to the roadside landslip on Wolgan Road, within the Wolgan Valley
  • Construction of the designed solution

A mandatory site inspection is scheduled for this opportunity.
