Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠Overview

George Town Council (TAS) is seeking a contractor to undertake the upgrade of Old Aerodrome Road, Stage 4 (CH3625 to CH5125), in accordance with LGAT Standards.

Scope

The works are to be carried out in accordance with LGAT Standards, noting the typical cross-section shown in Drawing TSD-R02-v3, with a sealed width of 6.5m and an unsealed verge of 0.5m wide on both sides. The scope includes:

  • Set out works
  • Clearing and grubbing as required
  • Stripping of vegetation and topsoil, and stockpiling for later re-spreading over earthworks
  • Excavation for road widening, including table drain formation
  • Supply, placement, and compaction of road pavement materials
  • Supply and placement of wearing course
  • Supply and installation of traffic signs
  • Supply and painting of line markings and guideposts
  • Landscaping and making good
