Provision of User Design and Content Writing for Online (web-based) Education Course

⁠⁠⁠Overview

The Department of Home Affairs is seeking a supplier to provide user design and content writing services for an online (web-based) education course, as part of a range of communication activities to inform and educate temporary migrant workers of their workplace rights.

About

In July 2024, new laws came into effect to give the Australian Border Force greater powers to respond to employers who use a person's visa status to exploit them at work. Visa settings were also changed to address migration-related barriers that may deter temporary visa holders from asserting their workplace rights.

One of the Department's communication initiatives is a new pre-departure webpage for temporary migrant workers coming to Australia, which will sit on the Home Affairs website and include various resources and tools.

Purpose

The communication activities are designed to raise awareness and understanding of the protections available to temporary migrant workers under the Migration Amendment (Strengthening Employer Compliance) Act 2024, including how to report workplace exploitation. Addressing migrant worker exploitation and ensuring a fair go in the workplace is a core objective of the Australian Government's Migration Strategy.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Provision of user design services for an online (web-based) education course for temporary migrant workers, including those undertaking workplace-based training
• Provision of content writing services for the online (web-based) education course

• Sellers must use the attached template to provide their response
• Sellers should refer to the Statement of Requirements Document for information about the buyer's request
• Sellers provide their response at their own cost
