Lachlan Pipeline Duplication Project Construction of Section One (1)

Parkes Shire Council is seeking construction services for Section One (1) of the Lachlan Pipeline Duplication Project, part of the Parkes Water Security Program. This procurement covers construction of the pipeline from the Akuna Road Pump Station to the Raw Water Storage Lagoon within the Parkes Water Treatment Plant.

About

To cater for future growth in the Parkes Shire Council region, an upgrade of the raw water transfer system from the Lachlan River to the Parkes Township is required. Council is currently progressing the procurement for the Lachlan Duplication Project.

The Lachlan Pipeline Duplication is a significant piece of the Parkes Water Security Program. The pipeline is approximately 35km long and runs from the Lachlan Region to the Parkes Water Treatment Plant. The Lachlan Pipeline Duplication will augment the existing raw water transfer capabilities and ensure future demand can be met and water security is achieved for the Parkes Shire.

Due to current market and global volatility, the procurement for the construction of the Lachlan Duplication Project will be completed in three (3) sections:

• Section One (1): Construction of the pipeline from the Akuna Road Pump Station to the Raw Water Storage Lagoon (within the Parkes Water Treatment Plant)
• Section Two (2): Construction of the pipeline from the Lachlan River to the New Eugowra Road Pump Station
• Section Three (3): Construction of the pipeline from the New Eugowra Road Pump Station to the Akuna Road Pump Station

Scope

This Request for Tender is for the procurement of construction services for Section One (1): construction of the pipeline from the Akuna Road Pump Station to the Raw Water Storage Lagoon within the Parkes Water Treatment Plant. The scope includes:

• Installation of approximately 6km of pipeline through residential and grazed areas of the Parkes Township
