Overview
Hunter Water Corporation is seeking a vendor to develop and deliver the Urban Water Cycle Discovery Program, a component of the Hunter Waters Education Program engaging students and teachers in the Lower Hunter.

The Hunter Waters Education Program engages with students and teachers in the Lower Hunter through a combination of incursion and excursion opportunities, digital resources, and partnerships with local councils, industry and community organisations. Purpose
The goal of the Hunter Waters Education Program is to improve students' water literacy, reduce their water consumption and influence change in behaviour. The aim of the Urban Water Cycle Discovery Program is to improve students' water literacy so they understand that water is precious and needs to be conserved.
Scope
The scope includes:
- Developing an interactive experience, in collaboration with the Hunter Water education team, covering the natural water cycle, water sources, how water travels from source to tap, how water is used and conserved at home and at school, what happens to used water including treatment and recycling, and how to care for the sewer network (what not to flush)
- Delivering the interactive experience to primary schools in the Lower Hunter for Kindergarten, Year 1 and Year 2 (infants) students, with each session running for 45 minutes
- Producing a set of resources to be made digitally available on the Hunter Water website, for use by classroom teachers to reinforce key concepts delivered in the experience and to help students act as advocates for sustainable water and wastewater behaviours to their families and community
