Ladders, Hatch and Platform Upgrades

⁠⁠⁠Overview

Albury City Council invites suitably qualified tenderers to submit a tender for the Ladders, Hatch and Platform Upgrades for Water Reservoirs, on the conditions detailed in the RFT.

Scope

AlburyCity is seeking to engage a suitably qualified contractor under a GC21 contract to deliver the Works in a safe, coordinated and efficient manner, with due regard to operational constraints, relevant standards and the requirements of the site.

The Work comprises the design and construction of upgraded reservoir access infrastructure at Water Reservoir 03 (WR03), Water Reservoir 33 (WR33), Water Reservoir 8A (WR8A) and Water Reservoir 8B (WR8B), located within the Albury LGA.

The scope includes:

• Investigations, measurements, design development, certification, fabrication, supply, installation and commissioning of access infrastructure at the nominated water reservoirs
• Replacement of internal FRP ladders, external ladders and cage structures at the nominated reservoirs
• Associated ventilation, vermin-proofing and waterproofing works to improve asset protection and reduce the risk of further deterioration
• Repairing or replacing access structures for the nominated water reservoirs and any other works required to complete the scope as detailed in the Contract Documents
• Design by the Contractor for any structural components, demonstrating compliance with AS1657:2018 and all other relevant standards
• Planning, staging and undertaking the Works to avoid interruption to reservoir operation, water supply services, water quality, reservoir integrity and Council's operational access requirements
• Provision of advance notification to the Principal prior to commencement of works, including any impact to current reservoir operation
• Certification of the compliance of the upgraded access infrastructure, related components and the whole of the works prior to handover
• Provision of all materials, labour, plant, cranage, equipment, access equipment, tools, supervision, overheads, administration, insurances, taxes, wages, accommodation, transport, allowances, site allowances, consumables, testing services and any other incidental cost necessary to carry out the works in compliance with the contract documentation

Objectives

The objective of this project is to provide safe, compliant and reliable access for operational and maintenance personnel, while improving the integrity, hygiene and long-term serviceability of the reservoir structures.

Contractor Requirements

• Suitably qualified to deliver the Works under a GC21 contract
• Capacity to demonstrate compliance with AS1657:2018 and other relevant Australian Standards, applicable legislation and authority requirements
• Capacity to deliver design, fabrication, supply, installation and commissioning of access infrastructure without compromising the structural integrity of the reservoir
