Overview
Waikato District Council is seeking an experienced supplier to construct the Pookeno Sports Park Destination Playground. Council invites tenders from experienced playground contractors to deliver a fully inclusive, all-ages destination playground at Pookeno Sports Park, incorporating cultural narrative, accessible play, and a comprehensive range of play experiences for the wider northern Waikato and southern Auckland catchment.

The Destination Playground design has been completed, and certain long-lead playground equipment items have already been contracted.
Scope
The scope includes:
- Construction of the Pookeno Sports Park Destination Playground
- Liaison and coordination across the full scope of works
- Installation of all playground equipment
- Civil works
- Landscaping works
- Safety surfacing
- Services within the playground footprint
Contractor Requirements
- Experienced playground contractor
- Act as a single point of accountability for the full scope of works
- Meet all consenting and/or exemption requirements throughout the duration of the contract
- Meet quality assurance obligations throughout the duration of the contract
- Meet health and safety obligations throughout the duration of the contract
