Tender ID: 620373
Tender Details
Tender Description
Overview
Dulverton Waste Management (DWM) is seeking tenders for the supply of a self-propelled compost star screen and/or the sale of a stationary trommel screen currently held by DWM.
About
Dulverton Waste Management operates a licensed 40,000 tonne organics facility located in Latrobe, Tasmania, 15 minutes south of Devonport.
Purpose
DWM requires a screen to process compost from the in-vessel compost facility, which has high moisture content. Star screen technology is preferred due to its tolerance for moisture, as the existing drum screen has proven far less efficient than anticipated when processing compost with high moisture levels exiting the tunnels.
Scope
The scope includes:
- Supply of a self-propelled compost star screen to process compost from the in-vessel compost facility
- The screen may be either a new or ex-demonstration model with less than 750 machine hours
- Sale of a Stationary Komptech Cribus 3800 (Trommel screen) with low hours, located at the Devonport facility
DWM averages 1,500 cubic metres of material weekly, equating to two tunnels per week.
Contractor Requirements
- Any alternate screen type proposed must comprehensively demonstrate suitability for the product made
