MRC LGA Weed Treatment Works FY26/27

⁠⁠⁠Overview

The Department of Transport and Main Roads (QLD) is requesting quotes for the management of restricted invasive and locally declared plants along state-controlled roads within the Mackay Regional Council (MRC) Local Government Area (LGA) during the 2026/2027 Financial Year.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Control of "restricted invasive" plants within the Mackay Regional Council Local Government Area
• Control of "locally declared" plants within the Mackay Regional Council Local Government Area
• Management of these plants as defined and managed under the Department of Transport and Main Roads' Maintenance Preservation and Operation (MPO) Element 5 Invasive Plants and Animals framework

Definitions

• "Restricted invasive" refers to restricted invasive plants listed under the Biosecurity Act 2014
• "Locally declared" refers to locally declared plants listed under the current version of the local council Biosecurity Plan
