Potable Water Tank

⁠⁠⁠Overview

Monadelphous is seeking a supplier to provide a potable water storage tank and associated equipment for the Brigalow Peaking Power Plant (BPPP) project.

About

The Brigalow Peaking Power Plant (BPPP) is a hydrogen ready, natural gas power station that will provide firming capacity to support more renewables entering the energy system. The core of the BPPP (the facility) is a nominal 400MW open cycle gas turbine plant, consisting of a compact power station footprint (350m x 150m) inclusive of 12 modular aeroderivative gas turbines, electrical systems up to 33kV, natural gas distribution, and an operations and maintenance facility.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Supply of one (1) High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) / FRP (food grade) potable water storage tank, including manways, nozzles, internal piping, cleats, tank venting system, overflow nozzles, drains, lifting lugs, platform, stairway and other miscellaneous items as necessary to allow proper operation and maintenance of the tank
• Checking of connections and piping nozzle orientation by the subcontractor and contractor prior to fabrication
• Safety valves and devices mounted on the tank as necessary for protecting the equipment
• Overflow piping and vent piping connections
• Tank internals, inlet and outlet nozzles, drain nozzles, and overflow and inlet nozzle with drop down pipe
• Pressure and vacuum breaking valves, one per tank (as required)
• Supply of all required instrumentation nozzles with isolation valves, including level gauge / level indicator and level transmitters
• Anchor chair, anchor bolts with nuts and washers
• All special tools required for the installation and/or operation of the tank
• Special tooling for maintenance
• Earthing (if required), including earthing pads with clamps or studs for all instrumentation
• Nameplates and KKS tagging, with labelling to follow the KKS format, to be agreed with the Contractor prior to implementation, and to comply with the Technical Specification for Plant Labelling
• All nozzle counter flanges with stud bolts, bolts, nuts and gaskets
• Local junction box and cabling from field instruments to the local junction box
• All site assembly, construction and installation
• Provision of a construction verification certificate
• Cold commissioning and site acceptance testing

Location

The BPPP will be located within the Kogan Creek Clean Energy Hub, near the existing Kogan Creek Power Station (KCPS) and Powerlink Banana Bridge Substation, approximately 30km east-southeast of Chinchilla in Queensland's Western Downs region.
