Panel Tank Supply & Install - Demineralised Water

Monadelphous is undertaking construction of the greenfield Brigalow Peaking Power Plant (PPP), a gas-fired power station being delivered for CS Energy. As part of this project, Monadelphous requires the supply of an Activated Carbon Filter, and is seeking expressions of interest from parties with the capability and desire to be included on a tender list to quote for the design, supply, manufacture, transport to site, construction, installation and commissioning of one demineralised water panel tank.

About

The Facility involves the construction of a nominal multi-unit 400 MW (nominal installed capacity at ISO conditions) natural gas fired power generation plant, with hydrogen blend capability, designed as a fast start plant using 12 aero-derivative LM2500Xpress Units (gas turbine and ancillaries package).

The Brigalow Power Station is being constructed approximately 30 km southeast of Chinchilla, Queensland. The project location is a decommissioned field of a solar plant, located adjacent to the existing Kogan Creek Power Station.

Scope

The scope of work is for the design, supply, manufacture, transport to site, construction, installation and commissioning of one demineralised water tank, complete with all accessories, designed according to Australian codes and regulations. The bidder is to suggest the tank construction type in line with the project standards and specifications. The scope includes, but is not limited to:

• Supply of one off panel tank, either lined carbon steel or stainless steel, with a nominal capacity of 794m3
• Manways, nozzles, internal piping, earthing cleats, cathodic protection (if applicable), tank venting system, overflow nozzles, drains, lifting lugs, platform, stairway, and other miscellaneous items necessary to allow proper operation and maintenance of the tank
• Checking of connections and piping nozzle orientation by the subcontractor and contractor prior to fabrication
• All safety valves and devices mounted on the tank necessary for protecting the equipment
• Overflow piping and CO2 absorber/scrubber and seal pot for the DM water tank (refer P&ID for DM water system BGP-GEV-DRW-ME-0024)
• Tank internals, inlet and outlet nozzles, drain nozzles, and overflow and inlet nozzle with drop down pipe
• Platform and ladder for access to the tank top and manhole (supplier to confirm)
• CO2 breather
• pH analyzer
• Pressure and vacuum breaking valves (as required)
• All required instrumentation nozzles as specified in the datasheet, including level gauge/level indicator and level transmitters
• Anchor chair, anchor bolt with nuts and washers
• All special tools required for installation and/or operation of the tank
• Corrosion protection treatment for transportation and site installation (as required)
• Earthing, including earthing pads with clamps or studs on the equipment, and earthing of the tank
• Stainless steel nameplates and KKS tagging, with labelling following the KKS format to be agreed with the contractor prior to implementation
• All nozzle counter flanges with stud bolt, bolt, nuts and gaskets
• Local junction box and cabling from field instruments to the local junction box
• All site assembly, construction and installation
• Construction verification certificate
• Cold commissioning and site acceptance testing
