Plant and Equipment Hire - Panel of Preferred Suppliers

Snowy Valleys Council is inviting tenders for the provision of Plant and Equipment Hire, with or without an operator, on a Standing Offer Agreement, to establish a new Panel of Preferred Suppliers.

About

This tender follows on from the success of the previous panel, with significant projects planned for construction in the region over the next few years.

Purpose

The current 2023-26 panel will expire and be dissolved on 30th September 2026. A new panel is being established for the 2026-2029 period to support Council's construction program, and Council is keen to engage with local businesses and contractors to assist with this work.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Provision of plant and equipment hire, with or without an operator, under a Standing Offer Agreement
• Examples of plant required (not limited to): excavator, grader, rollers, trucks, loaders, bulldozers, scrapers, skid steer, watercart
• Examples of hired equipment required: traffic lights, VMS, crib

Contract Terms and Conditions

• The new panel of preferred suppliers' agreement will run for a 3-year period commencing 1st October 2026
• The old 2023-26 panel will expire and be dissolved on 30th September 2026

Eligibility

• Contractors previously engaged by Council to undertake significant works each year must apply for SVC to continue accessing their services at this level
• New businesses and contractors who have previously been on the plant hire panel must lodge a new application for the 2026-2029 panel
