Island Block Pump Station Upgrade

⁠⁠⁠Overview

Waikato Regional Council invites tenders for the Island Block Pump Station Upgrade, involving construction works to replace three existing pump stations within the Island Block catchment with a single new pump station.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Replacement of three existing pump stations within the Island Block catchment with a single new 0.85m3/sec enclosed Archimedes screw (EAS) pump station
• Associated drainage modifications to amalgamate the catchment and redirect flows north to the proposed fish-friendly pump station
• Demolition of three existing northern pump stations

Contractor Requirements

• Capacity, capability, experience and resources to deliver the project on time and within budget
• A good track record on health and safety
• A good track record on environmental management

Tender Briefing and Site Inspection

Attendance at a compulsory site inspection is required. Tenders received from Tenderers who do not attend the compulsory site inspection will not be evaluated by Council.

• Time: 10am
• Purpose: To allow all Tenderers to see the site, understand the hazards and issues associated with the site and project, and ask questions of Council's Operations staff and Project Manager
