Piopiotahi and Aoraki data capturing cameras RFP

⁠⁠⁠Overview

The Department of Conservation (DOC) is seeking a supplier to design, install, and operate fixed camera systems at two public road locations adjacent to public conservation land: Milford Sound / Piopiotahi and Aoraki / Mount Cook.

Purpose

The camera systems will collect anonymised data on vehicle movements and occupancy to support DOC in building a reliable evidence base on visitor behaviour.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Design of fixed camera systems for two public road locations: Milford Sound / Piopiotahi and Aoraki / Mount Cook
• Installation of the fixed camera systems at both locations
• Operation of the fixed camera systems to collect anonymised data on vehicle movements and occupancy
