The City and Environment Directorate (ACT) is seeking a contractor to construct an intersection upgrade at the Taverner Street / Laurens Street intersection, and to construct a refuge island and associated works at 147 Knox Street, Watson.

Scope

The scope includes but is not limited to:

• Reallocation of kerb side traffic lanes to deceleration lanes for turn movements
• A lane add treatment for the left turn movement from Laurens Street into Taverner Street
• Correction to the left turn slip lane from Taverner Street to Laurens Street
• Streetlight improvements
• Construction of a refuge island and associated works
• Removal of existing kerb and path infrastructure
• Concrete works
