NCC Sports Field Improvements

⁠⁠⁠Overview

Napier City Council (NCC) is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to deliver sports field improvement works and associated specialist services across a range of Council-owned sportsgrounds.

Purpose

The programme forms part of Council's Sports Field Improvement Plan over the next 4 years and aims to enhance the performance, resilience, and availability of sports fields, improve field playability, extend asset life, reduce long-term maintenance costs, and support the provision of quality sporting facilities for the Napier community.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Sports field improvement works across a range of Council-owned sportsgrounds
• Irrigation upgrades
• Drainage upgrades
• Resurfacing works
• Levelling works
• Specialist turf management services

Contractor Requirements

• Suitably qualified and experienced in delivering sports field improvement works and specialist services
• Demonstrated expertise in sports turf science and infrastructure works
• Capable of delivering high-quality, cost-effective outcomes

Instructions to Tenderers

• Respondents must submit their tender response using the templates provided within the Request for Tender (RFT) documentation.
• All communications regarding this procurement, including requests for clarification and questions relating to the RFT, must be submitted through the Question and Answer (Q&A) function by 5:00 pm on 3 August 2026.
