Invitation to Supply - 2027 - 2029 Labour and Trucking Services

The South Australian Tourism Commission is seeking to contract a suitable Labour and Trucking supplier capable of providing Labour and Trucking services for the Tour Down Under event.

Purpose

The purpose of this procurement is to contract a suitable Labour and Trucking supplier who has the capability to provide Labour and Trucking services for the Tour Down Under event.

About

The Santos Tour Down Under (TDU) is the first event on the annual UCI World Tour Calendar. It involves a 6-day event featuring UCI WorldTour Men's and Women's races, along with a range of associated events.

The TDU is the biggest cycling race in Australasia and one of only two UCI WorldTour events staged in the Southern Hemisphere.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Transporting, installing and removing crowd control barriers at each start and finish location daily throughout the TDU event, to ensure rider and spectator safety
• Provision of up to eleven 30-foot rigid trucks with drivers
• Provision of up to 40 labour crew per day to offload barriers and re-pack them
• Delivery of services at locations throughout metropolitan and regional areas of South Australia

Contract Terms and Conditions

The proposed contract covers 3 events: the 2027 event, the 2028 event, and the 2029 event.
