Horticulture Innovation Australia (Hort Innovation) is a not-for-profit, grower-owned Research and Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia's $17 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $170 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.
Objectives
- Assess the technical feasibility, commercial potential, market pull, adoption barriers and enablers, and suitability of existing and emerging value-adding technologies across different scales of vegetable production, to identify and prioritise investment opportunities for the Australian vegetable industry
- Validate findings and develop recommendations for future investment priorities through a stakeholder workshop involving industry stakeholders and research participants
