Overview
The Department of Housing and Works, on behalf of the Department for Education, invites artists and artist teams to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for a Percent for Art artwork commission at Parkwood Primary School, as part of the Administration Upgrade project.
Purpose
The artwork is being commissioned under the Percent for Art Scheme. The Department of Housing and Works will commission the successful artist or artist team on behalf of the Department for Education.

The design should reflect the school's multiculturalism, diversity, and, where appropriate, Indigenous representation, using materials that are durable and suitable for long-term use. A drawing showing preferred locations is included in the tender package.
The scope includes:
- Design, fabrication, concept development and installation of the artwork, including all structural and electrical requirements if proposed, such as foundations and footings
- Interpretation text
- Further development of the artwork design to ensure integration with technical needs
- Completing design documentation
- Completing fabrication
- Completing timely installation of the artwork and coordinating the installation programme with the Main Project Builder to ensure the artwork is installed at a suitable time within the project timeline
- Finalising a close-out report, including a maintenance and operational manual
The commission budget is $32,890.00 (ex GST), inclusive of the above requirements.
