Panel of Suppliers - Civil Plant and Equipment

⁠⁠⁠Overview

The City of Albany is seeking to establish a Panel of Suppliers for the supply of civil plant and equipment. The City's primary requirement is for wet-hire plant and equipment, though dry-hire submissions may also be considered where they meet the City's operational requirements.

About

The Panel of Suppliers will consist of contractors capable of providing civil plant and equipment on a wet-hire and/or dry-hire basis. The City has provided a preferred plant list for both wet hire and dry hire. The Panel will be the City's preferred supplier group, and requests for hire will be directed to Panel members by City Representatives before other suppliers. However, the City reserves the right to carry out works in-house or, where works are specialised, to engage suppliers who are not Panel members.

Scope

The City requires plant and equipment hire services to supplement its current machinery fleet. The scope includes:

• Provision of wet hire rates for the equipment identified in Attachment G, Schedule of Rates, Wet Hire
• Provision of dry hire rates for the equipment identified in Attachment H, Schedule of Rates, Dry Hire
• Optional provision of a list of any additional plant, including rates, not covered in Attachment G or Attachment H (this additional plant will not be included in the tender evaluation)

The City intends to appoint up to fifteen (15) contractors to the Panel of Suppliers.

Contractor Requirements

As timely mobilisation of plant and equipment is critical to the City's operations, the evaluation will include consideration of:

• The location of the Tenderer's depot or operating base relative to the City of Albany Works Depot at 61 Mercer Road, Walmsley
• The Tenderer's ability to efficiently mobilise resources to meet the City's operational requirements

Contract Terms and Conditions

• Work will be provided on an "as and when required" basis and only when requested by purchase order
• The City does not guarantee any minimum amount of hire under this Contract
