As the Birchalls building is under construction, we want to bring the Launceston Mall to life. Alongside a new play space, we’re introducing a rotating food truck program that will introduce a curated mix of food and beverage operators to keep the Mall vibrant, social, and a great place to spend time in.

This is your opportunity to be part of it.

Over the construction period, September 2026 - December 2026, we invite food truck operators to express their interest below to operate from a single, dedicated site outside the Birchalls building in Launceston’s Brisbane Street Mall to help shape the atmosphere that will ultimately define the future of the Birchalls Laneway.

The opportunity

Solely operate your food truck in the Launceston Mall located outside the current Birchalls Building – a high foot traffic area full of workers, commuters, families and visitors.

There is also the ability to operate delivery services during the tenancy, e.g. Uber Eats, alongside in-person trade!

While not a permanent tenancy, this is a brand-new opportunity to operate from Launceston’s central hub.

About this Expression of Interest

This Expression of Interest (EOI) invites mobile food vendors to apply for participation in the Birchalls Food Truck Program.

This EOI process does not create a binding agreement. Any successful application will be subject to further approvals, permits and agreements.
